The Crusades Studies Forum at Saint Louis University is an international venue for the presentation of current research, the discussion of recent scholarship, and the exploration of new directions in topics relating to the Crusades. Participants include those local to the Saint Louis region as well as distinguished scholars from across the globe. All are welcome to attend and participate in the forum.

The subject of the Crusades is still a vibrant field and a topic of great significance to the modern world. This era of conflict and interaction helped to shape the culture and society of late medieval Europe. This International Symposium is meant to provide an opportunity for scholars who approach the Crusades from numerous different perspectives to present some of the fruits of their research and to assess the state of this ever-growing field.
